NEWS FROM THE CVTC >>> FRIDA BAGHDASSARIAN

Residents gathered this past Sunday for a delightful Coffee with Council event at the Montrose Harvest Market where councilmembers engaged in meaningful conversations while strengthening community bonds in a lively atmosphere. A heartfelt thank you is extended to all who took the time to join us for a chat. One of the most fulfilling aspects of volunteering on the Crescenta Valley Town Council is connecting with our fellow residents and building relationships in the beautiful city we all share and cherish.

Though I was out of town celebrating some milestones, I am grateful to Kerri Brautigam, Donna Libra, Jeffrey Rodriguez, Dede Mueller and Elizabeth Ahlers for being there in my absence. Your dedication and support are truly appreciated.

Please save the date for the upcoming meeting on June 20 at 7 p.m. at the La Crescenta Library, 2809 Foothill Blvd. We are dedicated to listening to your feedback and working together to improve our community. One of the highlights of this meeting will be the presentation of scholarships to six exceptional students in our area. Congratulations to Zander Awni, Alyssa Cavataio, Joshua Kim, Rachel Kim, Sophia Lavanchy and Wesli Moore. We are proud to recognize their hard work and dedication to their education.

Rest assured, your concerns are our top priority. A regional planning representative on June 20 will address issues related to rehab facilities in residential areas and their proximity to schools and parks. We are here to listen and take action.

Don’t miss the special town hall meeting on Wednesday, July 17 at 6:30 p.m. at the La Crescenta Library. This is a crucial meeting to discuss important topics such as SB 8, SB 9, multi-family housing, parking restrictions and the influence of rehab facilities on our community landscape. Your active participation is key to shaping the future of the Crescenta Valley.

We urge all residents to attend this important town hall meeting. This is your opportunity to voice your concerns, engage with elected officials and shape the future of the Crescenta Valley.

Stay informed, stay engaged and let your voice be heard as we work together to build a better community for all. We are excited about these upcoming events and look forward to seeing you there. Your presence and participation are what make these events meaningful and impactful.
