Crescenta Valley Fireworks Show
The July 12th edition of the CV Weekly had a wonderful article by Charly Shelton extolling this year’s fireworks show at CV High School. It was indeed spectacular! And for those of you in the community who chose to watch it from your backyards or along Foothill Boulevard, you unfortunately missed the intensity and the drama of watching fireworks directly overhead and choreographed to patriotic music. It’s a different show when watched from the high school field.
As CV Weekly publisher Robin Goldsworthy mentioned in her “From the desk of the publisher” column, the CV Fireworks Association is a dedicated group of community volunteers who give hundreds of hours of their time to put this event together for our community. We rely on donations from businesses, organizations, and individuals to help fund this annual show. And thanks to the support from our donors we were able to once again provide our community with one of the most dramatic fireworks shows in So. California.
But the donations must continue to ensure another show in 2019. The Association does not have enough carryover funds to ensure that next year “the show will go on.” We are in a continual process of raising funds, lowering our costs, and adding to our pyrotechnic display to continue the tradition. Bills need to be paid well before the next July 4th fireworks show.
Your help is needed! Please support this community tradition with a donation to the CV Fireworks Association, 2629 Foothill Blvd., #179, La Crescenta, CA 91214. CV Fireworks is a 501.c3 non-profit organization. Your gift is tax deductible and 100% of the proceeds go toward the fireworks show.
