LETTERS TO THE EDITOR

Fond Farewell

Dear Montrose,
Two years ago, I was introduced to a quaint, sleepy little town that I never knew existed. Like all new relationships, it took a bit to get to know you, to feel you out and decide if it was a good fit.

Well, I fell in love.

I have been to some of your homes. I have eaten at some of your tables. I have developed deep, personal relationships with some of you. It has been a wonderful two years. It has given me memories that I will never forget and that I will always cherish.

I want to say, “Thank you.” Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Thank you for loving me and embracing me and, simply, being invested in me.

I would love to name each and every one of you because that is what you deserve, but I would never want to leave anyone out. You all know who you are and what special times we had together.

Each of you will, forever, hold a place in my heart.

As one grape vine ends, so another one begins…

I will see you all very soon,
