Reassuring Police Presence

This morning at approximately 5:27 a.m. while waiting to enter King Laundromat on Foothill Boulevard to do our laundry, another couple and [I] were surprised when a police car pulled up on Foothill and stopped, turning the red/blue lights on and the bright search light in our direction. Before the officer could ask us what we were doing, we quickly informed him that we were waiting for the laundromat to open, as it did at 5:30 a.m. He thanked us and drove away as we entered the laundromat.

We three agreed that it was very encouraging to see the police take the time to stop and learn if there was a problem. At 5:30 a.m. it is still dark out, so it’s comforting to know that the police are patrolling and quick to ask questions.
